HILLSIDE RANCH

The Hillside Ranch is owned and operated by Fred and Dana Clapper. We have lived in Charlotteville, New York for many years along with our amazing children.

Nestled in the beautiful foothills of Upstate New York, our ranch began in 2020 with our adorable “Smiling Sheep” Southdown Babydolls. We grew to love the breed and set out on our mission to develop a flock by selecting the best genetics.

In the Spring of 2021, we  joined the Valais Blacknose International Sheep Breeders and Registry (VBISBAR) with a goal to develop a purebred flock of Valais Blacknose Sheep , “the worlds cutest sheep”. Through participation in the Breed-Up program.

More exiting news! In the spring of 2022 we are adding Harlequin sheep to our amazing flock. Known as “The spotted sheep” these adorable Harlequin’s are best recognized for their amazing quality wool.
